IPTV Info & Caution

This will be edited and updated as I’m currently putting this info here from mobile.

There’s a lot of services available online for IPTV. This falls in a “grey area” of services, as they will usually provide other paid channels at a single cost. You’d get Netflix and PPV content without directly paying those services for example, hence the grey area.

Many of the IPTV sites either shut down or rebrand over time due to varying factors, one of which is scam sites. You may have a legitimate site - established or new - and you’ll find a multitude of duplicate sites that pop up as well. Let’s use the now defunct “Pirate Bay” as an example. If you do a search you’ll see that the official site is no more, but you will find a number of clone sites available - some with close names. Can you get content or service from them? Yes. But you’ll do so at a risk.

The other main reason these sites and services go down is due to problems with payment processing. Apparently the financial institutions and payment processors are trying to kill the services. This will result in rebranding or abandoning the site and service, so it’s probably best to not pay for a lifetime subscription.

For the sites and services that remain, many of them have moved to crypto as the payment method. Persons in the USA have an option for using CashApp to buy crypto and pay for services. This still has issues, since some persons report that they either then have problems with CashApp or subsequent payments are blocked. If the label or details even remotely mentions an IPTV service, it’s blocked by the various processors.

If the site or service you use stays up but simply moves servers, your access may still remain. The problem is - you don’t know who will still be around or not. Research would have to be done by each person to find what works best.

For persons outside the US or having issues with crypto, the two main options I’ve seen are Kraken and Coinbase. My recommendation is to get a wallet app for your phone - or one that works on your desktop as well - and move your deposit from the exchanger (Kraken/Coinbase) to your wallet. You can then do payments from your wallet and will likely have less issues that way.

For Jamaica, there’s talk that one bank supports CashApp - I’ll have to check on this for multiple reasons.

Whatever you choose, just be safe and be careful.
